When faced with the challenges of their time, truth-tellers like Yuri Kochiyama, Araminta Ross (Harriet Tubman), K.W. Lee, Audre Lorde, Rev. Kyu Heong Lee, el hajj malik el shabazz, Chiune Sugihara each questioned if they were suitable heroes. They gathered the people and power they had, and went to work. I am driven by a vision of a future that is powerfully generous. Of the many ways power exists in all people, I believe it must be shared and used to dignify people and communities who are afforded the least of it.
