Organizer & Policy Advocate

I’ve served as vice chair of the Cultural Affairs Commission and member on the Funding Advisory Board for the City of Oakland, advising the Office of the Mayor and City Council on policy. In 2019, I worked in the City’s Human Services Department as a Cultural-Strategist-in-Government (2019), promoting equity-informed cultural research and key municipal plans. My approach to organizing and political action is driven by the belief that the world requires a multitude of leaders who both believe in poetic possibility and demand them in the halls of power.
