Stephanie is a former executive director, equity advocate, and economic development leader with deep experience in city government and nonprofit management. As the former executive director of Excelsior Action Group, she led strategic growth, community partnerships, program development, and served on the SFMTA Small Business Working Group, representing transit-related interests of small businesses across San Francisco. Most recently, Stephanie was the former Deputy Director of Youth Speaks, where she oversaw the organization’s core operations, including financial management, budgeting, compliance, human resources, and organizational infrastructure. In her role, she strengthened internal systems, ensured fiscal stewardship, and supported long-term organizational sustainability.
Prior to her roles leading Bay Area nonprofits, Stephanie served as the Senior Economic Development Specialist for the City of Napa, where she helped design and implement economic development strategies that advanced community-centered growth. Her work included managing critical public and private investment resources; coordinating cross-departmental initiatives; and ensuring capital reached local neighborhoods, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to expand access to economic opportunity.
Stephanie is the Vice Char of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Board of Directors for the City of San Francisco; and the Vice Chair of the Northern Bay Area Chapter of the Chicano Latino Caucus, California Democratic Party, the largest Latinx Democratic party organization in the country. Stephanie graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies.
